Reflections for Pitched Instruments

For 1-4 Pitched Instruments

How far can a tragedy be abstracted whilst retaining meaningful connections?

This project was composed with the aim of of challenging how far a tragedy can be abstracted and maintain meaning. Furthermore, the work looked at exploring how far a composer can include their response using linguistic techniques without directing narratives. This work was then performed live, online and in person. Furthermore, the digital performances challenged the notion of what constitutes the performance in the response to a tragedy.
