Space at the Table

Video with accompanying soundtrack

This project is a video with a soundtrack, recording a dinner table with musical devices, manipulated in real time in order to create a soundscape. This project primarily focussed on how all of the items combine to make an experience exploring how isolation and separation during the Pandemic were experienced, imagined, and to offer a visual recreation, akin to what could be seen in an art gallery.

The film depicts the setting up of the table, the sitting at the table, and eating a meal at the table with a group of friends, in real-time and without pauses. The long form video was then edited and created to act as a graphic score, recording the soundtrack in a single take response.
